Hello everyone! Today, for Vlogmas #8, I’m showing you how I made some ‘Hidden Message’ Ornaments.
The idea is to have baubles on the tree with hidden messages inside. You can ask your guests to find the ones with their name on it, like a little game, and then tell them to open it to discover the little note. That could be a cute souvenir gift of your Christmas with them.
First I decorated my ornaments with glitter. I made a blue, red and green one. If you want to know how to make glitter baubles, follow this link to read my article on my DIY Glitter Ornament.
Basically, I sprayed glue in the bauble, poured the glitters and then shaked and let it dry a couple of minutes.
Then I took my gloss paint markers to write on the glass. You have to shake and pump those before using. It might take a few tries before the ink starts to flow.
If you mess up, don’t worry! Dip a cotton bud in polish remover and wipe off the ink from the ornament.
Take a tissue and a little bit of water to clean the surface. And then you can start again.
I cut strips of paper and then wrote my text and even draw on one of them. You can write anything you want but it souldn’t be too big otherwise it won’t fit in the bauble anymore. After that, I attached the note to the cap of the bauble and put back the cap, gently.
If you want to see more details, watch my video:

I think this idea is really cute and you can personalize it however you want, with riddles, jokes or quotes. It also can be a DIY gift idea for Christmas day
